For those of you who are having a little trouble narrowing down which of your many award-worthy clips to enter, here’s a little good news: the deadline has been pushed back to FRIDAY, FEB. 23, so you get a whole extra week to decide.
A few things have changed from last year’s contest administration:
New categories have been added! General news and features categories have been eliminated to allow for better competition among like entries.
The numbering system has changed; each division is identified by a one-letter code, and categories are then numbered sequentially to make contest administration a little bit easier to track.
You can send a PDF or Web-based printout instead of a tear sheet; photocopies will also be permitted. Please be sure your printout or copy is legible (remember, some of the more experienced judges who’ve been around a while may be a little visually-challenged).<!– D(["mb","

The Official Entry Form has been revised so that you can enter your information right on the PDF file before printing (or saving and e-mailing). Be sure to read the Form Guidelines underneath the form.
Entrants who are members in good standing of BOTH the national SPJ organization AND the Utah Headliners chapter get a $5 discount on each entry. You can join any time before submitting your entries to be eligible for the discount — all we need is your SPJ member number so we can verify. (Visit www.SPJ.org/join.asp for details.)
