Utah SPJ joins in seeking release of Brian David Mitchell interrogation videotape

Court records show the Utah Headliners Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists has joined the Salt Lake Tribune, the Deseret News and the Associated Press in seeking the release of a videotaped interrogation of accused Elizabeth Smart kidnapper Brian David Mitchell. The tape was entered into evidence in his ongoing trial. However, the judge is considering only releasing a transcript of the 2+ hour interview. Lawyers representing the Tribune filed this in U.S. District Court in Salt Lake City:
