Former Utah SPJ president and current treasurer Linda Petersen was given the prestigious Howard S. Dubin Service to Journalism Award.
Linda was praised for her efforts in leading the battle against HB477, which would have gutted Utah’s open records law. Her longtime devotion to Freedom of Information and First Amendment issues was noted by the national award.
She was the only recipient of it this year.
