The final session of SPJ’s Region 9 Conference is a free event, open to the public, on the increasing tension and uncertainty surrounding our national parks. The event happens Saturday, March 25, at 6 p.m., in the auditorium of the Salt Lake City Public Library.
Our parks, their employees and patrons are finding themselves in strange territory these days following the implementation of President Donald Trump’s administration.
This panel discussion brings together key players to discuss issues for the Western Region’s National Parks.

ROBERT KEITER is a Wallace Stegner Professor of Law, Distinguished Professor of Law, and Director of the Wallace Stegner Center of Land Resources, and the Environment at the University of Utah, Author of To Conserve Unimpaired: The Evolution of the National Park Idea and several other books
DAVID NIMKIN is the Senior Regional Director, Southwest Region, National Parks Conservation Association
