WASHINGTON, D.C. — The SPJ National Convention is wrapping up here with a fascinating series of programs and some bold new innovations being implemented in the coming year.
Incoming president Clint Brewer has outlined his goals. (You can read all about the national convention by clicking here.)
Locally, the Utah Headliners Chapter did well, having been named the SPJ’s “Small Chapter of the Year” at this year’s convention. It’s a huge honor for our chapter, and a compliment to the hard work of your board members who donate a lot of time to make sure we offer good programming and meet the needs of working journalists in our state.
Not resting on our laurels, we’re already hard at work on some new ideas and programs to help Utah journalists. Please stay tuned to this website for more.
Also, if you’d like to get involved in SPJ either in a big way (joining the board) or a little way (volunteering in some capacity) — we’d love to have you!
